I have a home private LAN with 3 PCs (PC1,2,3) all running WIN XP PRO SP2.

How can I operate from PC1 and do an XP type search in the fies/folders
of either of the other two PCs on this LAN? Is there a URL that explains
how to do this? Can XP already do searches of other PCs files/folders
through the network?

If this is the wrong newsgroup for this question, can you suggest a more
appropriate group?

Thank you, Dave_s

Doesn't whatever you are using to search ask you where you want to
search? Select your network and then the machine you want to search. I
use File Locater Pro this way all the time.
