[VW7] Installation Problems

Hi!

After some time of being out of touch (Smalltalk and other stuff) I've
decided to re-take VW... on my Linux box (Mandrake Linux 10.1 - bit old
but 'works' - I'm definitely a newbie to Linux). So it could be
several issues all mixed up...

PROBLEM:
Can't install... :(

BACKTRACKING:
0 - Downloaded the ISO from Cincom and burned it correctly (installed
fine on WinXP)
1 - Unable to execute from the CD (messed around with fstab to no
avail, as user, as root, etc.)
1.1 - gave up and copied the files to the hard drive and executed there
the installUnix script
2 - Install dialog pops up (with the Typical, Custom & Uninstall
options) followed by the intruder UHE stating:
"Unhandled exception: Arguments invalid -- wrong class"
3 - Fortunately, since it was running from my hard drive, had an
ERROR.LOG file as evidence that something was happening after all...
(wonder what would happen off the CD)

Any help would be appreciated (a lot)...

BTW, given the callstack, and the Unix specifics I'm assuming that it
has no point in trying to debug/check against a WinXP installation...

Please check you have the csh shell installed in your Mandrake.

Also you should browse the archives of this list for some more subtle
problems w/installation on Linux boxes due to something related to fonts.
