Hi all,
I team up with a GIS guy a lot, and we've built a good workflow around
(me) generating crosstab queries/view from Access DBs for him to map.
Occasionally he process data and I return it to the database -- and
back it comes in a big crosstab, screwing up my somewhat-normalized
tables. In the quick-n-dirty consulting world, I've built a new Excel
file with macros to
- insert blank rows;
- copy/transform/paste data down columns;
- import back to Access
....all the time thinking "there has to be a better way."
Anyone got a line on the better way? I suspect tweaking the macro-
generated VBA a little to check ranges, then building a VBA module, is
the only way to build reusable code, but I can't imagine this hasn't
already been done.
Thanks for your insights!
