Hi We observed a backup being slow as long as 12 hours.
When observed the IO was very less. ( iostat report )
is there any strategy to be followed when IO is very less. |

You should provide more details. How soon the backup ever run? Any
info in db2diag.log when backup? Your environment? Parameters? Any
error in OS level? Have you check your storage device?.... |

There were no errors in db2diag.log
but normally the backup takes 3 hours. but it took 12 hours to
complete on one day.
the storage was also checked. it was fine.
Only the IO report says that the IO done was very low and it was fast
when the backup was nearing its completion and the backup was indeed
fast at that moment
which was output of db2 list utilities command.
