Hello,

I have a question for all of you font fanatics out there. Does anyone
hear know what is the name of the font used in the opening credits of
the medical drama "Trapper John, M.D."? Below is a website that has
the show's title card:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapper_John,_M.D.

There's nothing on that page.

Here's an image:

That would be the logo, thanks. Anyone want to take a shot on what the
font might be?

There's nothing on that page.

There is, but you have to include the final period (after 'D') as well.
My reader fell into it, too...

As far as the font is concerned, no dice yet, sorry.

It looks like it may be Social Gothic, which myfonts says is a revival of
Informal Gothic:

Rather, given the timeframe involved, it may be Informal Gothic, revived in
digital form as Social Gothic. You get the idea.
