I am curious also would like to hear DBAs opinions of using Data
Studio in 9.7 vs. CC.

At first glance, the Visual Explain in Data Studio 2.2 (free one) looks
like
a pale imitation of same in CC.

Can anyone give a like for downloading Data Studio 2.2? I have version 1.1
and it's so bad I almost never use it.

Thanks.
Here's a direct link. (Probably subject to change!)

Still downloading, so I have not tried it yet.

Are you looking for a Solaris front-end? There is support for
databases running on Solaris, but since Data Studio is Eclipse based
it only supports Linux, Windows, and MAC front-ends.

Well, Windows, yes.

Linux is supported IF you are running on a supported OS (RHEL or SLES).
I installed the Standalone version of Data Studio on Ubuntu 8.04 and
had a LOT of problems. And, of course, Mac OS X is not available (even
though Eclipse allows it).

I am hoping that the Linux restrictions are relaxed and Mac OS support
appears in the not-too-distant future.
