None Location Arlington, VA % Travel 10 Relocation No Requirements The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit/Integrated Systems Division currently has an opening for a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Applications Developer. JOB DESCRIPTION: Work on an operation support team to perform database sizing and performance tuning from application-level (SQL statements and programming logic) to system-level (kernel configuration and physical database/disk allocation). Initial focus for the position will be PL/SQL development including the development of complex stored procedures and triggers to implement business logic. Also support database administration of Oracle 9i/10g on Sun Solaris platforms with Oracle Replication and Real Application Clusters (RAC) and applications data base development using PL/SQL. Will support deployment of a SAN architecture using Veritas file system and EMC storage, performance tuning, troubleshooting,
problem resolution, and backup/recovery strategies and implementation. It will involve attendance and briefings at technical meetings with the customer and other members of the development team. Work will be performed in Arlington VA. REQUIRED EDUCATION: A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have at least 5 years hands-on Oracle PL/SQL Applications and DBA experience to include Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Backup, Recovery, and Performance tuning. Must have experience with Logical and Physical Data Base Design and Oracle PL/SQ. Must be experienced in Oracle 9i/10g platforms, preferably Sun Solaris platforms with Oracle RAC.. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with the client and effectively with other team members. Must have data base logical and physical modeling expertise. CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain SECRET CLEARANCE DESIRED SKILLS: Sun Solaris systems administration and DBA in support of a large scale applications development. Also, strong experience in backup restore/
recovery processes and procedures, capacity planning, performance tuning (SQL and database), and security desired.
