Hi, does anyone know where I can get binaries for Wine 1.0.1? The
downloads in winehq only have links for 1.1.8 although 1.0.1 is
advertised as the latest stable. Strange that there are still download
links to 1.0.0 but not 1.0.1? |

Why do you think you want "stable" instead of latest release? Generally
latest versions work always better than stable releases, but obviously
there can be unknown new bugs. But for normal everyday use I would use
the latest rather than stable.
If you have some specific business critical reason for using stable,
then I would understand the need.
But despite this, your question is justified, but unfortunately I don't
have answer to that. It might help to know which distribution/OS your
are using. |

I use the latest for my normal everyday use, currently I am on 1.1.9

However I am installing this on someone elses computer, who doesn't
have Internet access and doesn't know how to update even if she does
have Internet. I do not want to risk things not working, since small
bugs are often introduced in the unstable version.

I am using Mandriva but I installed Kubuntu in this laptop, so I need
an Ubuntu version of Wine 1.0.1. |

Afaik Ubuntu has wine package in its repos. I suggest that you use that
package instead of any other versions as it is the most tested version
with that configuration. |
