Hi everibody, I'm a novice user of AUTOCAD and I'm starting learning about
AUTOLISP and Autocad customization...I need a

routine to select the face of a solid and make it become an entity (to find
the centroid of that surface then, that's what I

really need)...
I thought the way to unambiguously identify one of the solid's faces could
be by selecting 2 of their sides, but I've no idea

of how to translate it in AutoLISP.

Any help will be very appreciated

Thanks a lot

Hi Alberto,
- I don't know whether lisp or vlisp allow that much control over entities,
but there may be other ways (e.g. by using the grip-points)
- If you're new to AutoCAD, I recommend Visual Basic(VBA), which offers far
better speed, is easier to use, and just more practical. But even Visual
Basic won't give you the control you are looking for, unless you add or
switch to: ObjectARX
- Check out the AcadX ActiveX extension for AutoCAD on the web to get you
started.
Hope this helps, enjoy your thesis Smile
