I have an ati 9800xt, amd 64bit, 1 gig ram, and gigabyte motherboard.
when gaming, my box will either completely freeze up or i wll loose
all video (screen goes dark, ctrl-alt-del doesnt work nor does alt-f4
or alt-tab). have latest norton virus defs. no viruses detected.
running dx9b.
i am at a complete loss. doen anyone have a solution/suguestion?
p.s.
it doesnt happen with americas army. but does happen with games like
far cry, joint ops typhoon rising, ect...... |

First thing is to check temperatures right after it happens, go for a quick
reboot and check the bios readings.
